A Night to Shine: Mother Seton Academy Talent Show
On May 1, Mother Seton Academy hosted its second annual Talent Show, an evening filled with energy, creativity, and joy. This year’s theme, Step Into Your Spotlight, reflected our school year theme, You Are the Light of the World, and encouraged students to share their unique gifts with confidence.
The event was made possible through the leadership of our Music and Math Teacher, Armoni Gaddy ’14, and Front Desk Coordinator and Dance Club Coach, Amir Joyner ’18. Together, they created an engaging and supportive environment where students felt empowered to take the stage and express themselves.
The evening began with a powerful opening from the choir, who performed an impressive mashup of songs, showcasing their talent with an a cappella arrangement that set the tone for the night. From there, the audience enjoyed a variety of performances, including vocal and dance numbers, an original poem, and a creative comedy sketch titled The Mystery of Vandover Manor.
One of the highlights of the evening was a special guest appearance by Bingo the dog, who delighted the audience with a series of tricks. The show concluded with a high-energy performance by our dance team, leaving the audience inspired and energized.
The Talent Show is a meaningful tradition at Mother Seton Academy because it gives students the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zones, build confidence, and celebrate one another’s gifts. It is a reminder that each student brings a unique light to our community, and when given the opportunity, they truly shine.
We are grateful to our staff, volunteers, and supporters who make events like this possible and help create spaces where our students can grow, express themselves, and be celebrated.
