Mother Seton Academy, a tuition free Catholic Middle School in Baltimore City, is proud to announce, that after an expansive search process, the Board of Directors has selected George E. Andrews, Jr. to be the next President of the school. Andrews has decades of experience in Baltimore area Catholic Schools, most recently at Mount Saint Joseph High School.

Sister Mary Frances Hildenberger, DC, Board of Directors Chair, said “George comes to us as a seasoned leader committed to the mission of Mother Seton Academy and enthusiastic about leading the school. His many years of experience in Catholic education and his knowledge of the Baltimore area position him well to serve as President. He is enriched with dedication to the Xaverian tradition, one of the schools’ founding congregations, and desires to use his gifts to help us grow as a school in these changing times. This appointment begins a new chapter for Mother Seton Academy, building upon the dedicated women and men who have served the school over the last 30 years.”

George Andrews has been a teacher, a principal, a President and is a very experienced fundraiser. He understands all aspects of the school and will make sure the school programs and administration are set up to create a successful and longstanding future for the school and our students.

When reflecting on this new position, Andrews shares, “I am honored to have the privilege to serve as the next President of Mother Seton Academy. I look forward to working with the dedicated faculty, staff and administration to continue the great work done to meet the needs of the students to help them become the people the Lord intends them to be. I want to thank the Board of Directors, the administration and faculty who were part of the process and who together offered me this opportunity. I have been impressed with everyone who is connected to the school and their dedication to its mission.”

For over 30 years, Mother Seton Academy has supported Baltimore area families by providing access to a quality education, extensive graduate support and an extended school day and year. The school is on Greenmount Avenue in Baltimore City.
